Cognitive Kinesiology: a series of exercises which enable a person to safely explore the range of motion of the body with particular emphasis on the spinal column, hip and shoulder sockets. It also uses guided visualizations to clarify the body/mind connection.

Preventive Medicine: instruction to enable the participant to make informed choices regarding diet and lifestyle.

Meditation: the meditation is nonsectarian. Beginners' instruction will be given and no previous experience is assumed. The evening meditation will include a talk/ discussion about meditation led by David Radin, director of the Ithaca Zen Center.

Yoga: A certified interdisciplinary yoga instructor will conduct classes at varying levels of intensity from beginning to advanced in the ancient art of Hatha Yoga.

Recipe class: instruction in preparing all the foods presented in the retreat.
